PARK Gwangsoo

PARK obscures the border between landscape and figures to create an ambiguous scene. He expands everyday sceneries and enters a world of fantasy. PARK’s lines exchange roles and broaden the world within the picture screen. PARK deems that his works are like fumbling around a dark forest, a journey seeking for the truth hidden beyond consciousness. Black and white lines with various saturations overlap with each other and grow thicker. The lines become the contour of the forest, and then, darkness. Mysterious creatures thrive in the forest. A forest is a border between reality and the dream world, and the unconsciousness of the beginning of the universe exists in it. As the forest grows thicker, its forms become more ambiguous. As the lines become obscure, hidden beings start to appear.
