KIM Eun Jeong (1986-) finds her subject matters within daily life, experienced under different weather conditions. It is an attempt to reflect every day’s events and emotional experiences into the elements of weather: temperature, humidity, sun, cloud, and more. Our life is in intimate connection with the weather. Therefore in many cases, people under the same climate form a similar culture, sharing language and emotions. Yet, the way one lives each day is such personal. There often appear cloud-like shapes on the artist’s picture screen. The cloud simultaneously contains the nature of liquid and gas. It changes every moment while it maintains within the contours. The artist projects the contingency in ordinary days into cloud-like shapes. They are shapes of each day that carries the most significant potential as it has unfixed meaning.
