Hakgojae will be even more exciting and refreshing. Its days in Insa-dong will be fondly remembered as Hakgojae opens its new exhibition hall behind the traditional Korean house,Hakgojae, in Sokyuk-dong in Bukchon Hanok Village. This new exhibition hall is large enough to present a large-scale exhibition. The exhibition hall in the rear is new, and Korean house in the front is old. This is how we resolved the issue of bringing tradition and modernity together. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Hakgojae has arranged a special exhibition, ‘Sensitive Systems’, curated by Lóránd Hegyi, Director of the Musée d’Art Moderne de Saint-Etienne, France. Masterpieces by great artists including Lee Ufan, Roman Opalka, Giuseppe Penone and Günther Uecker are shown in both the newly built exhibition hall and the traditional Korean house.
