KIM Sundoo was born in 1958 in Jangheung, Korea. He graduated from B.F.A. and M.F.A. School of Fine Arts, department of Korean Painting, Chung-Ang University. From 1994 to 2024, he was a professor in the Department of Korean Painting at the College of Arts, Chung-Ang University. He is currently a professor emeritus in the Department of Korean Painting at the College of Arts, Chung-Ang University. He had solo exhibitions at POSCO Museum of Art, Gallery Hee, and Onulun Gallery. Major group exhibitions include Ah Ah! Oriental Painting Exhibition (2023, Art Center White Block, Paju, Korea), The life is kinder than the paradise (2023, Jeju Art Museum, Jeju, Korea), Eumpung Yeongwol Exhibition (2022, Korean Cultural Center, HongKong), Looking at the Water with your back on the mountain (2021, Jeonnam Museum of Art, Gwangyang, Korea) and D.M.G (2019, Cultural Station Seoul 284, Seoul, Korea). His works are in the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, MMCA Art Bank, Seoul Museum of Art, and Kumho Museum of Art.
