Yoori (b. 1994) explores a language that cannot be filled with textual elements. Experimenting the potential of painting as a form of language, she works to bridge the gap between various existences (objects, emotions, situations, etc.) and the language used to describe them. The "incompleteness" of things that cannot be perfectly conveyed through language is manifested in various forms through narratives about existence, thought, time, memory, relationships, and the mind. She tells stories about emotions of the figures through indistinct objects and creates imaginary landscapes through the actions of people whose expressions cannot be read.
