Yoori (1994-) works to bridge the gaps between language, filling in the spaces where words fall short. In her paintings, she explores themes of existence, thought, time, memory, relationships, and emotions through the lens of "imperfection," giving them concrete form in various shapes. She conveys human emotions through undefined objects and transforms the expressions of unknown individuals into imagined landscapes. By visualizing what cannot be precisely expressed in words, her work captures and communicates the ambiguity that language often fails to articulate.
Yoori graduated from the Department of Painting at Hongik University's College of Fine Arts.
