Born in Daejeon, Chungcheong-do, Korea (1931-1993). Graduated from Kongju National University of Education in Korean literature, and Seoul National University in Painting. Trained in stained-glass techniques in Austria in 1968. Held solo exhibitions at Galerie du Haut Pavé (1970), Seoul Art Museum (1985), Sam Gallery (1987), Kumho Museum of Art (1991), etc. Participated in the 11th São Paulo Bienniale (1971), 16th Chang Jark Fine Arts Association Exhibition (1971), etc. Created statue of Virgin Mary and stained-glass works at Daeheung-dong Catholic Church, Daejeon, Korea (1963), Church of the Annunciation, Nazareth, Israel (1979), etc. Took positions as a professor in Fine Arts at Kongju National University of Education. Retrospective exhibition was held in Gana Art Center (2003), and Daejeon Museum of Art (2013).
