KIM Jae Yong
KIM was born in Seoul, in 1973. He lived in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia from age three to eight. In 1998, he received his Bachelor's degree in Ceramics & Sculpture at Hartford Art School, University of Hartford. In 2001, he received his Master's degree in Ceramics at Cranbrook Academy of Art. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Montclair State University from 2014 to 2015. Since 2015, he is currently working as an Assistant Professor of the Department of Ceramics at Seoul National University of Science & Technology. He has held numerous solo exhibitions at international art institutions such as Powerlong Museum (Shanghai), Waterfall Mansion & Gallery (New York), L'Avenue (Shanghai), etc. He also participated in various group exhibitions at Gwangju Museum of Arts (Gwangju, Korea), Noblesse Collection (Seoul), Lyons Wier Gallery (New York), etc. His works are part of public collections including, Powerlong Museum (Shanghai), Dennos Museum Center (Traverse City, U.S.), University of Hartford (West Hartford, U.S.), etc. He is currently living and working in Seoul.
