KIM Taiho

Kim Taeho was born in 1953, Wonju, Korea. He graduated from the Seoul National University and got his MFA at the University of Paris-VIII (Université de Vincennesà Saint-Denis) in France.
Kim currently teaches at the Seoul Women
s University.

Undefined abstract shapes and discreet colors are the characteristics of Kim
s work. Rather than basing his work on rational logic, he emphasizes the importance of intuition of the artist. His work is a medium in which he captures and places the human sentiment most naturally, and at the most appropriate moment. For the artist, art is an expression of his mental world; therefore it speaks of the truth and the soul of the artist himself and does not remain as a visual illusion. In the process of searching his soul in the work, Kim finds it important to question what naturally fits when all the elements come together in completing a piece.

He has had 9 solo exhibitions, including Kumho Art Museum solo exhibition in 2006, and participated in numerous group exhibitions in his career.
