Kim Taeho was born in 1953, Wonju, Korea. He graduated from the Seoul National University and got his MFA at the University of Paris-VIII (Université de Vincennesà Saint-Denis) in France.
Kim currently teaches at the Seoul Women’s University.
Undefined abstract shapes and discreet colors are the characteristics of Kim’s work. Rather than basing his work on rational logic, he emphasizes the importance of intuition of the artist. His work is a medium in which he captures and places the human sentiment most naturally, and at the most appropriate moment. For the artist, art is an expression of his mental world; therefore it speaks of the truth and the soul of the artist himself and does not remain as a visual illusion. In the process of searching his soul in the work, Kim finds it important to question what naturally fits when all the elements come together in completing a piece.
He has had 9 solo exhibitions, including Kumho Art Museum solo exhibition in 2006, and participated in numerous group exhibitions in his career.
