Hakgojae Gallery is pleased to announce In Ah Chun solo exhibition 合-Matrix, from December 6th to the 29th, 2013. series will be displayed, along with more than 40 pieces of CHUN’s previously shown works from the series, in the main exhibition space.
In Ah Chun’s work, which struggles endlessly like a living cell to reach to its origin of creation, carries a bio-morphological form. The images that some recall human body or other living creatures are close to bio-morphological abstract. The exhibition title, 合-Matrix, signifies the root and the birthplace of creation, while the forms of human body, bird, fish and shell acts as the metaphor of the Matrix. The artist takes the images of the familiar nature and creates harmony on the canvas, diffusing them to thread all separate works into a single theme.
