Hakgojae Gallery is delighted to present Bo Hie Kim’s solo exhibition Towards from May 8th to June 9th, 2013. The exhibition aims to show Kim’s continuous series, which is the works that the artist focused on depicting the sea and the plants for the past six years. There will be twenty paintings introduced, which are the outcomes of the artist’s depiction of the exotic landscapes of Jeju Island.
Kim’s series is the result of everyday landscape turned into artist’s internalization. Rather than regarding the nature as the object that requires human observation, the artist goes deeper into the nature and empathizes and communicates within.
With the artist’s unique self-controlled expression, Kim creates a place for the meditation where silence and sincere vitality exists. The exhibition offers spectator a chance to escape from the chaotic realities and see the nature within the naïve perspective.
